Learning & Development Coach

About the role

GXO is seeking a Learning & Development Coach to join its Peterborough site. You will be responsible for building capability across a fast‑paced warehouse, delivering engaging training, coaching staff, and supporting performance, compliance and employee engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver site inductions, mandatory training and role‑specific learning covering SOP, SSOW, health & safety, manual handling and ACE compliance.
• Coach new starters and existing colleagues through on‑the‑job training, performance support and competency assessments.
• Identify training needs by observing work, conducting audits and collaborating with team leaders and shift managers.
• Design, develop and deliver blended learning programmes using face‑to‑face, eLearning and practical coaching methods.
• Maintain accurate training records and the site training matrix to ensure all staff are competent, compliant and confident before deployment.

Required profile

• Proven experience in an operational warehouse environment, covering inbound, outbound and returns functions.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver training or coaching in a fast‑paced setting, adapting style to diverse learning needs.
• Strong communication and facilitation skills with confidence to manage groups and influence stakeholders.
• Excellent organisational abilities to prioritise multiple activities while meeting operational demands.
• People‑focused, flexible approach and willingness to obtain trainer qualifications such as IOSH, manual handling and train‑the‑trainer.
