Learning & Development Partner – Children’s Residential Services

About the role

We are seeking a Learning & Development Partner to join a leading children’s residential care provider. Working within a dedicated L&D team, you will design and deliver high‑quality training that supports staff in delivering trauma‑informed care.

Key responsibilities

• Design, organise and deliver engaging training sessions (online and occasional face‑to‑face) covering induction, safeguarding, behaviour management, CSE, emergency first aid, medication handling and ligature awareness.
• Collaborate with L&D Coordinators to ensure training is well‑structured, compliant and aligned with current legislation.
• Assess training effectiveness, gather feedback and continuously improve programme content.
• Act as a subject‑matter lead in a specific area, promoting safe and effective practice across services.
• Uphold organisational values, health and safety standards and promote equality, diversity and excellence.

Required profile

• Minimum three years’ experience working in residential children’s services.
• Strong knowledge of best practice, current legislation and policy trends in children’s residential care.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage adult learners.
• Commitment to delivering trauma‑informed, high‑impact training.
