Learning Support Assistant – Flexible School Roles

About the role

Reed is recruiting Learning Support Assistants to work across a range of primary, secondary and specialist schools. The role involves supporting students with diverse learning needs, helping them access the curriculum and develop confidence both inside and outside the classroom.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support for pupils.
• Assist students with additional needs, including SEND requirements.
• Support classroom activities and lesson delivery.
• Encourage student engagement, positive behaviour and wellbeing.
• Help develop social and emotional skills.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents and support staff.

Required profile

• Positive, patient and caring attitude.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build constructive relationships with young people.
• Willingness to obtain an enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
