Learning Support Assistant – Music Focus (Part‑time)

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant with a passion for music to help pupils across school settings in Bristol. This part‑time, temporary position allows you to use your musical experience to create engaging, inclusive learning experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Support pupils during lessons, adapting delivery to meet individual needs.
• Use music and creativity to motivate and engage students.
• Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group assistance, including for learners with additional needs.
• Assist teachers in delivering inclusive, accessible lessons.
• Foster confidence, participation and positive behaviour through supportive relationships.
• Help maintain a calm, structured, and positive classroom environment.

Required profile

• Background or strong interest in music (performance, study or teaching is desirable).
• Patient, empathetic and encouraging attitude.
• Good communication skills and ability to build positive relationships.
• Willingness to support pupils with a range of learning needs.
• Experience working with children or young people is beneficial but not essential.
