Learning Support Assistant – PEG Feeding Trained

About the role

We are seeking a compassionate Learning Support Assistant who is PEG feeding trained to join a specialist Special Educational Needs Academy. The role runs full‑time from September 2026 to July 2027, with the possibility of becoming permanent for the right candidate.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support to pupils throughout the school day.
• Safely administer PEG feeding in line with each student’s care plan and school procedures.
• Assist with personal care and encourage independence where needed.
• Promote positive social interaction, confidence and emotional wellbeing.
• Collaborate closely with teachers, therapists and the pastoral team to create an inclusive learning environment.

Required profile

• Previous experience supporting children or young people with special educational needs.
• Calm, patient and caring approach.
• Reliable, proactive and committed to helping students achieve their potential.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Required skills

• PEG feeding trained (essential).

What we offer

• Full‑time, Monday‑Friday schedule (8:30 am – 4:00 pm).
• Competitive daily rate of £92.60 – £105.00, dependent on experience.
