Learning Support Assistant (Primary) – Flexible Opportunities

About the role

Reed is recruiting Learning Support Assistants to work across a range of schools in South East England. The role involves supporting pupils with diverse learning needs, helping them access the curriculum and build confidence both inside and outside the classroom.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group assistance to students.
• Support pupils with additional needs, including SEND requirements.
• Assist teachers with classroom activities and lesson delivery.
• Encourage student engagement, participation and positive behaviour.
• Promote wellbeing and help develop social and emotional skills.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents and support staff.

Required profile

• Positive, patient and caring approach.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to build constructive relationships with young people.
• Passion for supporting education and student development.
• Willingness to obtain an enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
