Learning Support Teacher – Middle Years (Grades 5‑6)

About the role

The Winnipeg School Division is seeking a full‑time Learning Support Teacher for middle‑year students in Grades 5‑6. This permanent position focuses on providing targeted instructional support to ensure all learners achieve academic success within an inclusive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver differentiated instruction and learning support to students in Grades 5‑6.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to develop and implement individualized education plans.
• Monitor student progress, maintain records, and adjust strategies as needed.
• Foster a safe, equitable, and supportive classroom atmosphere.
• Participate in professional development and equity initiatives.

Required profile

• Valid Manitoba Teaching Certificate.
• Commitment to equity, inclusion, and the Employment Equity policy.
• Willingness to undergo a Child Abuse Registry check and Police Information Check.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations.
