Lecturer Health, Wellbeing and Social Care

About the role

We are partnering with a rapidly growing higher education provider to appoint a Lecturer in Health, Wellbeing and Social Care. The successful candidate will join a dynamic academic team delivering undergraduate programmes (Level 4‑6) to a diverse student body in Leeds.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lectures, seminars and workshops across Health & Social Care modules.
• Plan, prepare and assess student work in line with university standards.
• Provide academic and pastoral support, monitoring progress, attendance and achievement.
• Contribute to curriculum development, quality assurance and continuous improvement.
• Maintain accurate academic records and reporting.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Health & Social Care or a related discipline.
• Current UK higher education teaching experience at undergraduate level.
• Recognised teaching qualification (PGCert HE, PGCHE, HEA Fellowship or equivalent).
• Strong understanding of UK HE frameworks and academic standards.
• Desirable: industry experience in health & social care, PhD or progress towards one, HEA Fellowship.
