Lecturer of Health, Wellbeing and Social Care

About the role

This permanent, full‑time position is with a rapidly growing higher education provider in Manchester. The successful candidate will join an academic team delivering undergraduate Health & Social Care programmes (Levels 4‑6) and supporting a diverse student cohort.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lectures, seminars and workshops across Health & Social Care modules.
• Plan, prepare and assess student work in line with UK HE standards.
• Provide academic and pastoral support, monitoring progress, attendance and achievement.
• Contribute to curriculum development, continuous improvement and quality assurance processes.
• Maintain accurate academic records and reporting.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Health & Social Care or a related discipline.
• Current UK higher‑education teaching experience at undergraduate level.
• Recognised teaching qualification (PGCert HE, PGCHE, HEA or equivalent).
• Strong understanding of UK HE frameworks and academic standards.
• Desirable: industry experience in health & social care, PhD or HEA Fellowship.
