Legal Assistant – Residential Conveyancing Support

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Legal Assistant to join a well‑established residential conveyancing team serving Eastbourne and Brighton. You will provide essential support to a busy solicitor, ensuring smooth case progression and high‑quality client service.

Key responsibilities

• Open new conveyancing files and prepare initial documentation.
• Order property searches, liaise with agents, solicitors and third‑party providers.
• Manage post‑completion tasks, including file closing and archiving.
• Provide administrative support to enable fee‑earners to focus on client interaction.

Required profile

• Proven experience in residential property or conveyancing, either as a secretary or conveyancing assistant.
• Strong organisational abilities and the capacity to work independently.
• Confidence handling legal administration and third‑party communications.
• Proactive, reliable attitude in a fast‑paced environment.
