Legal Business Partner

About the role

The organisation is a leading public‑sector body seeking an experienced Legal Business Partner on an interim basis until year‑end. Working within a high‑performing legal function, you will support procurement and commercial teams across multiple UK locations, combining office presence two days a week with occasional directorate meetings.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert, pragmatic advice on procurement strategy, contract structures and contract management to senior stakeholders.
• Lead complex legal matters, delivering clear, commercially focused and risk‑aware guidance.
• Embed legal considerations throughout commercial activities to ensure compliant and efficient procurement processes.
• Manage a varied caseload with minimal supervision while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

Required profile

• Strong experience in procurement law, preferably within the public sector or a regulated commercial environment.
• Proven ability to lead on high‑impact legal issues and advise senior decision‑makers.
• Comfortable operating in a fast‑paced setting with competing priorities.
• Proactive, commercial mindset with excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
