Legal Counsel – AI & Data Focus

About the role

We are seeking a highly organised, tech‑forward Legal Counsel to join our internal legal function, working alongside our existing Legal Counsel to lead commercial agreements and legal workflows while providing strategic advice across a broad spectrum of in‑house matters.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the central contract repository, establishing post‑signature lifecycles, obligation tracking, renewal management and standardized playbook frameworks.
• Drive end‑to‑end drafting, negotiation and risk mitigation for complex customer and supplier agreements, including MSAs, NDAs and DPAs.
• Design review playbooks, prompt structures and automated workflows using AI tools such as Claude and Google AI platforms to streamline redlining and risk identification.
• Provide pragmatic legal advice across employment law, data protection (GDPR), compliance and corporate governance.
• Serve as point of contact for sales, finance and delivery teams, guiding commercial terms and contract governance.

Required profile

• Qualified Solicitor with 3–6 years PQE from a top‑tier law firm or fast‑paced in‑house tech environment.
• Proven track record of independently negotiating complex commercial tech or professional services agreements.
• Hands‑on experience implementing or maintaining standardized contract management frameworks and repositories.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills with ability to work independently and in a team.

Required skills

• Experience with generative AI tools (e.g., Claude, Google AI) or strong commitment to mastering AI prompt engineering.
• Excellent drafting and negotiation abilities for commercial contracts.
