Legal Counsel – Consumer Credit & Compliance

About the role

Revolut is seeking a Legal Counsel to lead the legal strategy for its consumer credit products in the UK. You will work closely with product, risk and business teams to ensure that new credit offerings are compliant, well‑structured and aligned with the company’s rapid growth.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary legal advisor for the design and structuring of consumer credit products in the UK.
• Draft, maintain and continuously update core legal agreements and standard documentation governed by English law.
• Advise business and risk teams on legal risks and enforcement considerations inherent to consumer credit structures across markets.
• Oversee the legal work stream for the global expansion of consumer finance features.
• Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including regulators and external counsel.

Required profile

• 4+ years post‑qualification experience (PQE) in retail banking or consumer credit.
• Experience either in‑house or in private practice advising on retail lending and credit compliance.
• Strong academic background and reputable law firm credentials.
• Sound judgement, composure under pressure and a collaborative mindset.
• Ability to make decisions in ambiguous or incomplete information environments.
