Legal Counsel – Digital, Data & Privacy (Hybrid)

About the role

We are seeking a Legal Counsel to join a global healthcare organisation based in Burgess Hill. The role sits within a wider legal team and focuses on digital, data and privacy matters, supporting the company’s investment in digital healthcare solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on commercial matters with digital products and solutions at the forefront.
• Draft, negotiate and finalise contracts and other legal documentation.
• Serve as the primary legal contact for teams working on digital, data and privacy issues.
• Monitor UK and EU legal and regulatory developments and interpret their impact on the business.
• Support litigation and dispute resolution as required.
• Participate in company‑wide projects that require legal input.

Required profile

• Qualified Solicitor or CILEx (England & Wales) with experience in digital, IT or privacy law.
• Experience in pharma, biotech or medical devices is a plus.
• Strong technical grounding from a reputable firm or in‑house team.
• Ability to handle complex legal problems independently and deliver practical solutions.
• Clear communicator who can translate legal complexity for non‑legal colleagues.
• Open to feedback and continuous improvement.
