Legal Counsel – EMEA (London)

About the role

This in‑house Legal Counsel position supports the EMEA region of a global travel company. You will work closely with business teams, providing commercial and regulatory advice while managing legal risk across multiple jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate client and supplier contracts, including travel management agreements, NDAs and financing documents.
• Provide regulatory guidance on travel law, Package Travel Regulations, ATOL and IATA requirements.
• Advise on consumer protection, competition law, marketing promotions and the CAP Code.
• Support corporate governance tasks such as company secretarial work, intercompany agreements and statutory filings.
• Manage disputes and litigation, liaise with external counsel and assess risk exposure.
• Assist with data protection and privacy matters, including breach response and contractual controls.
• Offer employment law support on ad‑hoc matters, TUPE and IP queries.
• Develop templates, playbooks and training to improve legal function efficiency.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer (England & Wales preferred; other common‑law jurisdictions considered).
• Newly qualified to approximately 3 years post‑qualification experience.
• Strong commercial contracting experience gained in private practice or in‑house.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Commercial mindset with the capacity to balance legal risk and business objectives.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
