Legal Counsel II – EMEA (UK/Ireland)

About the role

Coupa is seeking a Legal Counsel II to join its EMEA commercial legal team. The role is fully remote and focuses on supporting the Go‑To‑Market sales organization across the UK, Ireland and other EMEA jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal support for sales deals throughout EMEA, ensuring timely contract execution.
• Negotiate and draft commercial documents such as SaaS master subscription agreements, data processing agreements, AI terms, professional services agreements, partner agreements and regulatory addenda (including DORA).
• Monitor and triage legal service‑desk tickets to keep the workflow moving.
• Advise on EU/EEA regulatory and customer compliance requirements.
• Develop deep knowledge of Coupa’s SaaS products, security and data‑protection policies.
• Collaborate with Sales, Finance, Product, Privacy, Security, Deal Desk and other stakeholders to align agreements with corporate policies.
• Resolve customer success issues by working directly with customers and internal teams.
• Standardise documentation, create guidelines and improve legal team efficiency each quarter.
• Prepare training materials and deliver ad‑hoc sales enablement sessions on new regulations and contracting processes.
• Assist with additional projects as assigned.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer admitted to practice in a common‑law jurisdiction (England & Wales, Ireland or equivalent).
