Legal Counsel – Mining & Natural Resources (French speaking)

About the role

This is a junior Legal Counsel position within a fast‑growing natural resources business based in Central London. The role is ideal for a French‑speaking lawyer with 1–3 years post‑qualification experience who wants broad exposure across commercial, corporate, ESG and regulatory matters.

Key responsibilities

• Draft and negotiate commercial contracts and procurement agreements.
• Support corporate and M&A transactions, including due diligence and documentation.
• Assist with governance, company secretarial duties and board support.
• Monitor compliance and regulatory requirements, particularly in the mining and natural resources sector.
• Contribute to ESG and sustainability initiatives and manage stakeholder and community issues.
• Provide day‑to‑day legal advice to senior management and various business functions.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer with 1–3 years PQE, fluent in French and English.
• Commercially minded with strong judgment and the ability to work across multiple legal areas.
• Proactive, adaptable and eager to develop a broad in‑house legal career.
• Experience from private practice or an in‑house team is acceptable.

Required skills

• Fluency in French (written and spoken).
