Legal Executive – Conveyancing & Property Law

About the role

Connor Malcolm is seeking a full‑time Legal Executive to join its Edinburgh office. You will support solicitors and the property team by delivering high‑quality legal services throughout the conveyancing process, from initial instruction to completion.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and manage legal documents related to property transactions.
• Maintain and progress conveyancing files, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Provide clear, practical legal advice to clients.
• Liaise with lenders, surveyors, other solicitors and external parties.
• Update case management systems and keep comprehensive records.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth transaction flow and regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• Strong grounding in law with the ability to apply legal principles in practice.
• Proficiency in legal document preparation and review.
• Experience delivering clear legal advice in a professional setting.
• Knowledge of residential and commercial property law.
• Hands‑on conveyancing experience, handling purchases and sales.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organisational and time‑management abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a small team.
• Prior experience in a solicitors or estate‑agency environment.
• Relevant legal qualification (Legal Executive, Paralegal, or equivalent).
