Legal Intern – Intellectual Property

About the role

ITV Studios is looking for a Law graduate to join its Business Affairs team in White City, London, as a 12-month full-time Legal Intern. The internship focuses on intellectual property and is based in the UK and EU. Successful candidates must attend an assessment centre in London on 17 or 18 November 2026, and must be available for interviews and assessments in October/November 2026 to start work in January 2027.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct legal clearances of new programme titles in the UK and EU
• Assist with international brand protection for television formats, including filing trademarks and brand enforcement and litigation work
• Monitor social media and online platforms for brand infringements and take enforcement action where necessary

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in law or postgraduate diploma in law (or equivalent postgraduate qualification)
• Demonstrated interest and basic knowledge of intellectual property law, for example a module in IP or evidence of related work experience
• High degree of competency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint for project documentation and executive summaries
• Attention to detail and ability to work proactively and collaboratively with ITV teams such as production management, finance, Rights, Casting and Music
