Paralegal - UK Family Law

About the role

Huzzle connects talent with in-house roles at leading companies across the UK, US, Canada, Europe and Australia. This is a fully remote, independent contractor position supporting a busy legal team in UK family law, covering divorce, child custody and financial remedy matters. The role suits candidates with strong organisational skills, legal research capability and knowledge of UK family law procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Assist solicitors with case preparation across divorce, child custody and financial remedy matters
• Draft legal documents including witness statements, court applications and correspondence
• Conduct legal research on UK family law regulations and case precedents
• Manage and organise case files, keeping them accurate and up to date
• Liaise with clients, courts and third parties professionally and empathetically
• Support court bundle preparation and filing procedures
• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information discreetly
• Help with administrative tasks to keep cases moving efficiently

Required profile

• Prior experience as a Paralegal in UK Family Law (essential)
• Strong understanding of UK legal procedures, especially family court processes
• Excellent written and verbal English
• Experience drafting legal documents and correspondence
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
• Law degree or equivalent legal qualification preferred
