Level 3 Teaching Assistant

About the role

We are seeking a caring and enthusiastic Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Manchester. You will play a vital part in supporting pupils’ academic progress and personal development, working closely with teachers and specialist staff.

Key responsibilities

• Support teaching and learning within the classroom.
• Deliver 1:1 and small‑group interventions to improve pupil progress.
• Assist pupils with SEND, Autism, ADHD, SEMH and other additional learning needs.
• Prepare classroom resources and learning materials.
• Promote positive behaviour through consistent, praise‑based strategies.
• Support pupils’ emotional wellbeing, confidence and independence.
• Collaborate with teachers, SENDCOs and parents to achieve the best outcomes for pupils.

Required profile

• Holds a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
• Experience working within a primary school setting.
• Experience supporting children with SEND is desirable.
• Patient, nurturing and adaptable with excellent communication skills.
• Passionate about supporting children’s learning and development.
