Library Assistant

About the role

GLL is recruiting Library Assistants to work in community‑focused libraries in Lincoln, Mablethorpe and Market Rasen. You will help visitors access a wide range of collections, public computers and local studies resources while ensuring a welcoming, safe and clean environment.

Key responsibilities

• Work as part of the library team to keep daily operations running smoothly.
• Greet visitors warmly, provide guidance and support throughout their visit.
• Assist customers with IT equipment and public computers.
• Support library activities and events.
• Participate fully in any training provided.

Required profile

• Experience in a library or other customer‑facing role.
• Confident IT skills and knowledge.
• Excellent numeracy, literacy and communication abilities.
• Strong focus on customer service.
• Passion for libraries and community engagement.
• Team‑player attitude.
