Licensed HVAC Journeyman (D2/S2) – Commercial Construction

About the role

Join a team that values your skills and helps you grow. Action Air is hiring an HVAC Journeyman (D2 or S2 license) with at least two years of experience to support its commercial construction projects. The position offers a pathway from service work to construction and installation.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on commercial HVAC systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair air‑conditioning, refrigeration, and heating equipment.
• Assist with diagnosing electrical and mechanical issues.
• Communicate job progress and scheduling with dispatch.
• Complete service reports and related documentation.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and professional appearance.

Required profile

• D2 or S2 license is mandatory.
• Minimum two years of HVAC service or maintenance experience (construction install preferred but not required).
• Basic knowledge of refrigeration cycles and HVAC systems.
• Ability to use gauges, meters, and diagnostic tools.
• Ability to read basic wiring diagrams and schematics.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Current OSHA license (CT OSHA expires five years after issue).
• EPA certification or ability to obtain it.

Required skills
