About the role

GLL is seeking enthusiastic Lifeguards to join the team at Jesus Green Lido in Cambridge. You will play a vital part in ensuring the safety of pool users while delivering a high standard of customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Rotate regularly between pool areas to supervise swimmers.
• Maintain cleanliness of the pool environment and surrounding facilities.
• Set up and check pool equipment before each shift.
• Provide first‑class customer service and address visitor queries.
• Support the team by preparing studios, gyms or sports halls for activities.
• Carry out general cleaning and upkeep of the centre when not poolside.

Required profile

• A can‑do attitude with a strong focus on customer service.
• Passion for swimming and a friendly, responsible personality.
• Good knowledge of health and safety practices.
• Team‑player mindset.
• National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) preferred; training can be provided subject to a swim test.
