Lifeguard – Full/Part Time at Energise Leisure Centre

About the role

Join GLL as a Lifeguard at the Energise Leisure Centre in York. You will be responsible for ensuring the safety of pool users while delivering excellent customer service in a vibrant community setting.

Key responsibilities

• Rotate regularly between pool areas, supervising swimmers and maintaining a safe environment.
• Clean and tidy the pool area, set up equipment, and support daily centre operations.
• Provide first‑class customer service, handling queries and assisting visitors.
• Assist with preparation of studios, gyms, and sports halls for various activities.

Required profile

• Calm under pressure with a strong sense of responsibility.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a customer‑focused attitude.
• Team player who values health and safety standards.
• Hold a valid National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) with up‑to‑date training records.
