Lifeguard – Jesus Green Lido, Cambridge

About the role

GLL is seeking enthusiastic lifeguards to join the team at Jesus Green Lido in Cambridge. You will be responsible for ensuring the safety of pool users while delivering excellent customer service in a vibrant community leisure environment.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor swimmers and intervene safely when required.
• Maintain cleanliness and order of the pool area.
• Set up and check pool equipment before each shift.
• Provide first‑class customer service and address visitor queries.
• Support the wider centre team with duties such as preparing studios, gyms or sports halls and general upkeep.

Required profile

• Calm under pressure with a strong sense of responsibility.
• Friendly and approachable attitude towards people from all backgrounds.
• Commitment to health and safety standards.
• Team‑player with a proactive, can‑do mindset.

Required skills

• National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) or willingness to obtain it after a swim test.
