Lifeguard – Thame Leisure Centre

About the role

GLL is seeking a Lifeguard to join the team at Thame Leisure Centre. The role involves supervising pool users, ensuring safety, and providing excellent customer service in a dynamic leisure environment.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor the pool area during regular rotations.
• Maintain cleanliness of the pool and surrounding areas.
• Set up and manage pool equipment.
• Deliver first‑class customer service and handle queries.
• Support team tasks such as preparing studios, gyms or sports halls and general centre upkeep.

Required profile

• Calm under pressure with a strong sense of responsibility.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a customer‑focused attitude.
• Team player with a can‑do mindset.

Required skills

• National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) – up‑to‑date training records or willingness to complete training and pass a swim test.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
