Lifeskills Tutor – Part‑time SEN Role

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Lifeskills Tutor to join our Internship Programme in Aylesbury, supporting young adults aged 18‑25 with additional learning needs. This part‑time position (2 days per week) focuses on delivering practical, personalised life‑skills training that builds confidence, independence and employability.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver a bespoke Lifeskills curriculum covering the four Preparing for Adulthood (PfA) pillars: Employability, Independence, Community Inclusion, and Health & Wellbeing.
• Design and lead hands‑on learning sessions that reflect real‑life situations.
• Develop schemes of work, lesson plans and learning resources (LTPs, MTPs, STPs).
• Introduce fresh, innovative ideas to enhance the existing programme.
• Support learners on a non‑accredited, RARPA‑based pathway.

Required profile

• Experience working in an SEN, SEND or inclusive learning environment.
• Strong understanding of the Preparing for Adulthood framework.
• Proactive, flexible and learner‑focused attitude.
• Passion for helping young people achieve independence.

Required skills

• Knowledge of RARPA (Recognising and Recording Progress and Achievement) – desirable.
• Experience creating schemes of work and learning resources.
