Lift Service Engineer – City of London

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Lift Service Engineer to join our team and provide maintenance and breakdown support for lifts across the City of London. The role involves travelling to customer sites, delivering high‑quality service and ensuring safety compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Attend lift breakdowns and carry out planned servicing and preventive maintenance (PPM) tasks.
• Provide technical support and advice to customers, aiming for a high first‑time fix rate.
• Manage a small team of lift service engineers operating in the City of London.
• Maintain a professional image as a company ambassador on all site visits.
• Travel throughout the designated coverage area as required.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 3 qualification in Lift Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years experience as a Lift Service or Maintenance Engineer.
• Relevant certifications such as J‑Modules.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
• Self‑motivated, reliable and well‑organised.

Required skills

• Fault finding on passenger and goods lifts.
• Diagnosis and repair of lift control and mechanical systems.
• Experience with planned preventive maintenance (PPM) procedures.
