Litigation Counsel – EMEA

About the role

The Global Litigation team at TikTok is looking for an experienced Litigation Counsel to lead high‑stakes disputes across Europe. Reporting to the Head of Litigation, EMEA & AMA, you will manage cases from pre‑action through trial with a high degree of independence.

Key responsibilities

• Provide general litigation support for Europe, handling pre‑litigation claims and related matters.
• Manage all phases of litigation, including e‑discovery, fact‑finding, witness preparation, drafting, case conferences, interim applications, ADR and trial preparation.
• Supervise and collaborate with outside counsel to ensure high‑quality representation and strategic alignment.
• Deliver legal work product with minimal supervision, offering advice on complex matters and drafting responses.
• Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and support the company’s litigation and regulatory strategy.
• Identify and evaluate legal risk, consult with external counsel, and make informed recommendations.
• Mentor junior litigation team members and keep the regional team updated on developments.

Required profile

• Extensive experience managing litigation in Europe.
• Qualified lawyer in at least one European jurisdiction.
• Strong case‑management skills and strategic mindset.
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent judgment and risk‑assessment capabilities.

• Proficiency in e‑discovery tools and litigation management platforms.
• Experience with ADR processes and trial preparation.
• Strong drafting and oral advocacy skills.
