Litigation Counsel – In‑House Legal Team (London)

About the role

Join a leading global consultancy as a Litigation Counsel within its in‑house legal team in London. You will work on a diverse portfolio of contentious and non‑contentious matters, supporting the business across all service lines and internal functions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead internal investigations and respond to regulatory inquiries from bodies such as the FCA, FRC and ICAEW.
• Advise on and manage litigation matters, including claim handling, dispute settlement and coordination of external counsel.
• Provide guidance on regulatory compliance and non‑contentious regulatory issues.
• Collaborate with business units to deliver pragmatic legal solutions in a fast‑paced environment.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years’ post‑qualification experience (PQE) in litigation, either from a top‑tier City law firm or an in‑house team.
• Strong commercial awareness, gravitas and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Proven ability to prioritize, adapt quickly and work efficiently in a dynamic setting.

Required skills

• Experience handling complex, high‑value claims and managing external counsel.
• Knowledge of UK regulatory frameworks, including FCA, FRC and ICAEW requirements.
