Litigation Solicitor Director – Birmingham

About the role

Duncan Lewis Solicitors is seeking a Litigation Solicitor Director to join its Birmingham office. The role sits at senior level, reporting directly to the Board and leading high‑value commercial and civil litigation matters for a diverse client base.

Key responsibilities

• Report directly to the Board and collaborate to achieve performance targets.
• Manage all aspects of litigation work, from case inception to resolution.
• Represent both claimants and defendants in complex, high‑value disputes.
• Handle a broad portfolio including bankruptcy, building disputes, civil fraud, consumer/commercial disputes, contract disputes, debt interim applications, cross‑border disputes, contentious probate, professional negligence and residential property disputes.
• Provide strategic advice and maintain sensitive, client‑focused communication.
• Occasionally provide technical guidance on specialised matters.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with extensive experience in commercial litigation.
• Proven track record of representing a variety of clients, including individuals, companies, charities and groups.
• Ability to manage high‑value, complex cases across multiple practice areas.
• Strong client‑care skills and a proactive, professional approach.
• Experience reporting to senior leadership or board level.
