About the role
The Legists are seeking a Litigation Solicitor to join their London team. You will work on high‑profile litigation and advisory matters for a range of Government departments, providing legal advice and handling complex cases.
Key responsibilities
- Advise Ministers, senior officials and departmental teams on legal issues across litigation, commercial, employment and EU law.
- Manage a caseload of disputes, preparing pleadings, evidence bundles and court submissions.
- Collaborate with other legal professionals across Government to develop risk‑based solutions.
- Draft and review legislative and regulatory documents where required.
- Maintain accurate case records and ensure compliance with procedural deadlines.
Required profile
- A qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Chartered Legal Executive.
- Strong analytical judgement with the ability to provide balanced, risk‑aware advice.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining complex legal issues clearly.
- Open‑minded, impartial and able to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
- Eligibility for DV security clearance for London‑based work.
