About the role
This is an excellent opportunity for a Litigation Solicitor (NQ+) to join a well‑established, progressive law firm in County Durham. You will manage a varied caseload of general civil litigation matters, advising both individuals and businesses from instruction through to resolution.
Key responsibilities
- Handle a diverse range of civil litigation cases, from initial advice to final settlement or trial.
- Provide clear, commercially‑focused advice to clients across disputes such as property, contractual and debt recovery matters.
- Work closely with senior colleagues to develop case strategy and ensure high‑quality outcomes.
- Maintain accurate case records and meet all procedural deadlines.
Required profile
- Qualified solicitor with NQ+ experience in general civil litigation.
- Strong technical knowledge of litigation procedures and case law.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Proactive, self‑motivated and able to manage own workload.
Required skills
- Legal research and case analysis.
- Drafting pleadings, statements of case and settlement agreements.
- Negotiation and advocacy in court or alternative dispute resolution settings.
