Live Category Manager

About the role

eBay Live is reshaping online shopping by blending live entertainment, community interaction, and instant commerce. As a Live Category Manager you will own the day‑to‑day strategy and operations for a key vertical, partnering with sellers to boost performance, engagement and sales during live‑stream events.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the end‑to‑end lifecycle of the assigned category, including seller onboarding, event scheduling and performance monitoring.
• Collaborate with Business Development, Account Management, Marketing and Programming to define and execute category strategy.
• Track GMV, seller health and buyer retention through dashboards and regular reporting.
• Coordinate promotional calendars, tentpole events and special programming to drive traffic and conversion.
• Maintain internal trackers, recaps and performance reviews for continuous improvement.

Required profile

• 1–3 years of experience in account management, e‑commerce or marketplace operations.
• Strong organisational and communication abilities.
• Analytical mindset comfortable working with data and performance metrics.
• Creative problem‑solver who enjoys cross‑functional collaboration.
• Passion for live commerce, storytelling and seller success.
