About the role

This is a six‑month locum position within a South West local authority planning team. The role is full‑time and predominantly remote, with occasional attendance at planning inquiries.

Key responsibilities

Provide planning advice, enforce planning regulations and draft Section 106 agreements.
Attend and support planning inquiries, managing Section 106 obligations within appeal timescales.
Handle local authority highways matters, including preparation of Section 38 and Section 278 agreements.

Required profile

Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive.
Experience managing a caseload of planning and highways agreements.
Previous experience working for a local authority is desirable.

What we offer

Rate up to £60 per hour via Ltd company (outside IR35).
Predominantly remote working with occasional on‑site attendance.
