Locum Residential & Commercial Property Lawyer (Hybrid)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced property lawyer to join a supportive local authority legal team on a locum basis. The position offers hybrid working, an immediate start, and a contract running until the end of October 2026.

Key responsibilities

• Manage commercial property transactions for the authority.
• Handle residential property matters, including acquisitions and disposals.
• Draft and review leases, licences, easements and wayleaves.
• Provide general property advice to internal departments.
• Maintain a varied caseload with minimal supervision.

Required profile

• Qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive, or suitably experienced property lawyer.
• Proven experience in residential and/or commercial property work.
• Ability to manage own caseload independently.
• Available to start at short notice.
