Logistics Agent – Shop‑Floor Liaison (Continental Shift)

About the role

Airbus Belfast is seeking a proactive Logistics Agent to act as the primary shop‑floor liaison across Assembly and Fabrications operations on a continental shift pattern. The role drives operational efficiency by keeping production lines moving, optimising asset utilisation and ensuring data integrity across Airbus systems.

Key responsibilities

• Interrogate build sequences, line‑of‑balance metrics and operational systems to manage kit deliveries, buffer locations and parts flow from warehouse call‑off to Assembly and Fabrications drop zones.
• Serve as the embedded supply‑chain focal point in daily shop‑floor meetings, collaborating with lead hands, planners and service providers to resolve constraints and manage recovery plans.
• Process non‑conformance demands, scrap, rejections, loose item shipments and part shortages, executing accurate supply transactions on platforms such as TIPQA and MAXIM.
• Conduct regular shop‑floor audits to maintain high system data accuracy and generate essential operational documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum HNC qualification with at least 2 years relevant experience, or 3 years direct experience without formal education.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships across cross‑functional teams in a fast‑paced production environment.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage competing priorities and adhere to shift working patterns.

Required skills

• Experience with Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems.
• Proficiency in TIPQA and MAXIM supply‑chain platforms.
• Advanced use of MS Office and Google Workspace applications.
