Logistics Coordinator - Wind Energy

About the role

Vulcain Engineering is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to manage on‑shore logistics and supply‑chain activities for a major offshore wind project in the North Sea. Based in Hartlepool, you will ensure that materials, equipment and documentation are handled efficiently to support safe turbine installation and project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate end‑to‑end logistics across multiple transport modes.
• Manage import and export processes, ensuring customs compliance.
• Prepare shipping documentation such as packing lists, commercial invoices and export paperwork.
• Organise shipments from suppliers to warehouses and project sites, meeting delivery schedules.
• Support warehouse operations, including stock allocation, inventory control and materials tracking.
• Monitor and track shipments, providing proof of delivery as required.
• Liaise with suppliers, freight forwarders and internal stakeholders to resolve logistics queries.
• Assist project teams by aligning logistics activities with installation timelines.
• Help obtain transport quotations, arrange insurance and coordinate with suppliers.
• Maintain accurate records and update internal tracking systems.

Required profile

• Experience in logistics, shipping coordination or supply‑chain operations within engineering, construction or industrial environments.
• Knowledge of customs regulations and international shipping requirements.
• Ability to manage documentation and coordinate multiple stakeholders.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
