Logistics Manager

About the role

The Logistics Manager will own the full UK supply chain for a fast‑growing automotive manufacturer. Reporting to the Head of Product & Planning, you will ensure vehicles move efficiently from factory to forecourt, supporting dealer sales and new model launches.

Key responsibilities

• Manage contractual relationships with shipping agents, ports, and delivery companies, ensuring KPIs are met.
• Work with Finance and Legal to meet tax and legislative requirements.
• Develop IT infrastructure between the factory and dealer network to improve delivery accuracy.
• Lead supply‑chain operations, including stock control, ageing policies and central stocking.
• Identify service‑level improvements and cost‑saving opportunities.
• Support the development of new facilities aligned with business growth.
• Provide reporting on stock levels, lead times and vehicle coverage.

Required profile

• Proven experience in automotive logistics and supply‑chain management.
• Strong commercial judgement and ability to influence sales performance.
• Experience managing complex supplier relationships and contracts.
• Ability to work closely with Product, Sales, Finance and IT teams.

Required skills

• Knowledge of logistics systems and IT integration.
• Understanding of UK tax and legislative requirements for import/export.
• Experience with KPI monitoring and reporting.
