Lunchtime Supervisor – Secondary SEN School (Part‑time)

About the role

This part‑time position supports a secondary special educational needs (SEN) school in Lewisham during the lunch period, Monday to Friday from 11:45 am to 2:00 pm. You will work one‑to‑one with pupils, helping them enjoy a safe and supportive midday meal experience.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with teachers to implement individual learning and wellbeing plans.
• Promote social and emotional development to encourage student independence.
• Monitor and assess pupils’ progress during lunch and report observations to staff and parents.
• Provide dedicated, one‑to‑one support for a range of SEN requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum six months experience working with SEN pupils.
• Patient, adaptable, and able to manage challenging situations calmly.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).

• Ability to follow and support individualized education plans.
• Basic safeguarding awareness.
