M&A Senior Analyst / Junior Associate

About the role

The investment banking platform is seeking an ambitious and highly analytical Associate to join its M&A team in London. You will support high‑profile transactions across a variety of industries, working closely with senior bankers and corporate clients on strategic advisory assignments.

Key responsibilities

• Support end‑to‑end execution of M&A transactions, including deal coordination and due‑diligence processes.
• Build and maintain detailed financial models and perform company valuations using multiple methodologies.
• Conduct in‑depth industry, market and company research to identify acquisition targets and strategic opportunities.
• Engage directly with clients to understand objectives, support negotiations and coordinate with lawyers, accountants and consultants.
• Manage data rooms, information requests and prepare offering memorandums, presentations and transaction documentation.
• Prepare and deliver high‑quality strategic presentations highlighting opportunities and recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and internal standards throughout the deal lifecycle.

Required profile

• 2–4 years of experience in investment banking, M&A, corporate finance or transaction advisory.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting or a related discipline; MBA or Master’s degree is advantageous.

Required skills

• Advanced financial modelling and valuation capabilities.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Solid understanding of corporate finance and M&A transaction processes.
