Machine Operator – Day Shift (Permanent)

About the role

We are looking for a reliable Machine Operator to work the day shift at a well‑established manufacturing site in Maldon. The role is permanent and forms part of a safety‑focused production team, offering a clear path to leadership for the right candidate.

Key responsibilities

• Perform selected preventive maintenance (PM) tasks to support machine reliability.
• Promote a strong safety culture by completing risk assessments, reporting incidents and adhering to PPE, LOTO and knife‑safety procedures.
• Ensure calibrated equipment is used, assist in SOP development and manage product testing.
• Communicate with the supply chain for material replenishment and report line performance metrics.
• Maintain visual management boards and ensure smooth shift handovers.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• FLT licence preferred.
• Strong knowledge of production processes and basic computer literacy.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills with leadership potential.
• Willingness to work all shift patterns, including weekends.
