Machine Preparation Centre Engineer – Immingham

About the role

We are seeking a Machine Preparation Centre Engineer to join our Immingham team. The role is hands‑on, focusing on preparing, inspecting and delivering heavy plant machinery to the highest safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out pre‑delivery inspections (PDI) and machine preparation.
• Fit attachments and extras such as buckets, guards, couplers, radios and cameras.
• Ensure all checks are completed in line with documentation and report any additional work.
• Install software updates where applicable.
• Accurately complete job records and input data in real time.
• Maintain a clean, organised and professional working environment and care for tools and equipment.
• Work in accordance with Health & Safety and COSHH regulations.
• Support team members, assist with training and attend development courses.
• Work overtime when required to meet business needs.

Required profile

• Qualifications in Plant Maintenance, Agricultural Engineering or HGV Mechanics (NVQ Level 2 / City & Guilds).
• Experience with heavy plant machinery, including hydraulics and electrical systems.
• Strong diagnostic and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Organised, reliable and detail‑focused.
• Full UK driving licence preferred.
• Welding experience advantageous.
