Machinist – CNC Production of Medical Devices

About the role

The CNC Machinist I will support the manufacture of medical devices by operating a range of CNC and manual machines. You will work on 2‑ and 3‑axis equipment, set up tools, and ensure parts meet strict quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate multiple CNC machines (lathes, EDM wire, plunge) and manual tools simultaneously.
• Perform basic set‑ups, monitor programs, and make offsets or adjustments as needed.
• Complete shop work orders, inspection documentation, and daily maintenance logs.
• Follow health, safety and quality procedures in line with the QMS.
• Participate in required training and maintain compliance records.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• 1+ years experience operating machining equipment in a manufacturing environment (preferred).
• Experience in medical device manufacturing or lean manufacturing is a plus.
• Ability to work under moderate supervision and follow detailed instructions.

Required skills

• CNC machining on 2‑ and 3‑axis machines.
• Machine set‑up and offset adjustment.
• Operation of lathes, EDM wire, and plunge machines.
• Blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation.
• Use of metrology and quality inspection tools.
• Basic data entry and mathematical ability.
