Maintenance Coordinator

About the role

A fantastic opportunity has become available for a Maintenance Co‑ordinator to join a leading manufacturing business in Southampton. The company is renowned for high standards, investment in its workforce and a commitment to operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and schedule preventative maintenance (PPM) activities across the site.
• Manage engineering workloads and coordinate external contractors.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure effective use of engineering resources to maximise equipment reliability and minimise downtime.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Maintenance Co‑ordinator, Planner or similar role within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong organisational and planning abilities with the capacity to manage competing priorities.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with engineering, production teams and external contractors.
• Good understanding of maintenance processes and engineering operations.

Required skills

• Experience using a CMMS or other maintenance management system.
• Knowledge of spare parts management.
• Inventory control expertise.
