Maintenance Engineer

About the role

Working as a member of the maintenance team at Vaillant’s Belper plant, you will provide multi‑skilled engineering and maintenance cover across the facility, handling a range of equipment from automated presses to robot arms.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out routine maintenance in line with the agreed site plan.
• Repair and maintain plant equipment, quickly identifying faults to minimise production downtime.
• Record all work accurately for compliance and audit purposes.
• Ensure all activities comply with current health and safety legislation.
• Participate in proactive improvement projects to solve complex problems.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a multi‑skilled engineer in a fast‑paced production environment.
• Proactive, can‑do attitude with a flexible approach to working hours.
• Conversant with Programmable Logic Controllers and knowledge of robots (desirable).
• Experience with a Computerised Maintenance Management System (essential).

Required skills

• Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) operation.
• Robotics knowledge.
• Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) reporting.
