Maintenance Manager

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Maintenance Manager to lead the upkeep of our care home in Dartmouth. You will be responsible for ensuring the building, its systems and grounds are safe, functional and presented to a high standard for our residents and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and oversee all preventive and reactive maintenance activities across the facility.
• Manage improvement projects and coordinate external contractors.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and care home standards.
• Maintain accurate records of work orders, inspections and maintenance logs.
• Prioritise tasks in collaboration with the Home Manager and respond to urgent repairs.

Required profile

• Proven experience in maintenance, facilities or a similar role within a residential or care setting.
• Demonstrated ability to lead maintenance operations and manage contractors.
• Strong organisational and problem‑solving skills.
• Good understanding of health‑and‑safety and regulatory compliance.
