Maintenance Operative

About the role

Catch 22 is seeking a Multi‑Trade Maintenance Operative to join a national team supporting residential care homes. This field‑based position involves both reactive repairs and planned maintenance, ensuring safe and comfortable living environments for residents.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out reactive and planned maintenance works across assigned sites.
• Complete general building repairs, including carpentry, plumbing and decorating tasks.
• Diagnose faults and devise practical maintenance solutions.
• Record completed work using a digital job‑management system.
• Liaise with colleagues and external contractors to ensure efficient repair completion.
• Maintain high standards of safety, workmanship and customer service.

Required profile

• Previous experience in property maintenance or a recognised trade.
• Broad maintenance knowledge and a proactive problem‑solving approach.
• Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
• Excellent communication and customer‑service skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
