Maintenance Technician – 12hr Shifts, £57,900

About the role

Join Cereal Partners UK at an exciting time of growth and investment. As a Maintenance Technician you will work 12‑hour rotating shifts in our modern Staverton factory, supporting equipment reliability and production efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain process, packing and utility equipment to maximise reliability and performance.
• Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs to minimise downtime.
• Support planned preventative maintenance activities and plant start‑ups, shutdowns and product changeovers.
• Issue permits to work, follow safe isolation procedures and ensure compliance with site safety standards.
• Record work and analyse equipment performance using the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Contribute to continuous improvement, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and spare‑parts control.

Required profile

• HNC, ONC, NVQ or equivalent qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• Completed an engineering apprenticeship or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in a manufacturing or factory maintenance environment, preferably with PLC‑controlled high‑speed production equipment.
• Strong fault‑finding and diagnostic abilities.
• Proactive approach to continuous improvement and problem solving.

Required skills

• PLC‑controlled equipment operation and troubleshooting.
• Use of Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for work orders and performance analysis.
• Fault‑finding and diagnostic techniques.
• Preventative maintenance programme implementation.
• IT skills for PC‑controlled machinery and engineering systems.
